Description
Star Artist All-Famous Police Cases #9 "Camera of Death!" Complete 9-Page Story Original Art (Star Publications, 1953). Here is another example of the sometimes-tumultuous world of comics publishing in the 20th century. Hunted was another Fox Feature short-run title, lasting only two issues. This story, "Camera of Death!" was a 10-page story, slated for Hunted #3, but the title was canceled around the same time as other Fox comics. This story found its way to Star Publications, who published the story in 1953 in All-Famous Police Cases #9 with the title page removed, the pages re-numbered to be a 9-page story, and the Hunted masthead on page 2 replaced with the story title. Writer and artist are unknown. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 18". Moderate toning and edge and handling wear. Right margins are ragged. Renumbering in margins in crayon. In Very Good condition.More Information: EDIT: Updated title.
