Doug Allen Steven Weekly Comic Strip Original Art (Krupp Syndicate, 1980s). A fine, large-scale example of the postmodern Underground Comix movement, Allen's goofy, grim, and satirical Steven has thrived in both the alternative newspapers and books. The open-ended gag is an episode from a serialized story, with the title character being "taken for a ride" by two gangster-typed. Ink and shading film over graphite on Bristol board.
