Description
Dick Ayers G.I. Combat #231 "Death Comes in Three's" Complete 1-Page Story Original Art (DC, 1981). They say death comes in threes. As Starke trudges back toward the American lines with two fallen comrades in tow, he grimly predicts a third to complete the count. On this haunting one-page tale printed inside the back cover, the final tally proves cruelly accurate, and it's Starke who makes the prophecy whole. Ink over graphite on DC Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Slight toning, smudges/soiling, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, whiteout touch-ups, marginal production notes/marks, staple holes in top margin, and light corner/handling wear.
