Dick Ayers Dread of Night: "Outlaw Zombies" Complete Unpublished 8-Page Story Original Art (Hamilton Comics, 1992) Extravagant and outrageous, this horror-Western yarn catches Ayers reverting to the ferocity of style with which he had distinguished Eerie Publications' horror titles of the 1970s, with a nod to his more visually restrained Jonah Hex stories of the same general period. The featured heroic character bears a distinct resemblance to Clint Eastwood. Ayers once told us that this yarn was prepared for a third issue of Dread of Night, which was discontinued after its second issue. Signed on each page (lower margin) by Ayers. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 10" x 14". Faint toning. Excellent condition.
