Description
Curt Swan and Tex Blaisdell - Hostess Twinkies Ad Complete 1-Page Story "Green Lantern vs. Triclops Three-Eyed Keeper of the Cave" Original Art (DC, 1979). One-page ads such as this peppered DC comics for several years. It was a clever bit of marketing, as DC used their own artists to produce the pieces. As such, at first glance they appear to be just another page of comic book story. The moral was almost always the same... "Hostess products are so good you will forget what you were doing." This particular one was published in many DC comics from October to November of 1979. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". The GL logo, story title, and the Twinkies in Panels 4 and 5 are all stats. There is a large Twinkie stat missing from Panel 5. In Very Good condition.
