    Description

Bill Draut - Original Art for Unearthly Spectaculars #3, Complete Jack Quick-Frost Adventure (Harvey, 1967). Okay, Jack Quick-Frost just might be the lamest superhero ever to appear in a nationwide comic (after all, he could shoot ice from his fingers, and he had a gun that shot out ice pellets... huh?), but Bill Draut's artwork is actually pretty dynamic, and has a full quota of cool robots, hero-in-the-sky action, and outrageous villains. At times this story is downright delirious. Included are three 5-page chapters, constituting Jack's complete appearance in Unearthly Spectaculars #3 (the story was continued from issue #2, and ends in yet another cliffhanger for Unearthly Spectaculars #4, which never appeared). "Lord Lazee's Terrible Trio," "The Doom Wave Strikes!" and "Exposed! ... Jack Quick-Frost's Secret Weakness" are brimming with action, and will strike a responsive chord for anybody that read this 25-cent giant issue as a kid. Fifteen pages total, measuring 14.5" x 23". Excellent condition overall, blue-pencil is visible on most panels, and moderate white-out.
