Basil Wolverton Joker August-1953 Complete 6-Page Story "A Galoot in Pursuit of Buried Loot" Powerhouse Pepper Original Art (Timely Features/Humorama, 1953). Six great pages of Wolverton's wacky strong-man! Be sure to check the backgrounds for surreal silliness that would make Smokey Stover proud! This Powerhouse Pepper story is a bit of buried treasure of its own! It was first published in 1953 by Timely Features, then republished in the March 1962 issue of Cartoon Parade by Humorama, and then again in Popular Cartoons #14 in the 1970s by Visual Varieties. All of these publishers were different imprints of Timely/Atlas/Marvel Comics. The six pages were created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 14". The pages are toned, and Page 1 has a very minor amount of foxing. Overall in Very Good condition.
