Antonio Prohias Third Dossier of Spy vs. Spy, Complete 16-page Story "Operation: Altered Ego" Original Art (Warner Books, 1972). In the late fifties, Antonio Prohias fled from Cuba to the United States, escaping from Fidel Castro's new regime. Soon Prohias went to work for MAD magazine, where he became a regular favorite of many readers. In a New York Times Magazine article Art Spiegelman described the "Spy vs. Spy" feature as "the comic strip equivalent of the yin-and-yang symbol, good and evil, inter-dependent and inter-changeable -- forever chasing each other's tails." Created in ink over graphite and blue pencil, with shading film, on bond stock, with image areas averaging 6.5" x 11.5". There is light toning and smudging, and soft handling wear. In Excellent condition.
