Antonio Prohias - Third Dossier of Spy vs. Spy, Complete 16-page Story "Operation: Altered Ego" Original Art (Warner Books, 1972). In the late fifties, Antonio Prohias fled from Cuba to the United States, escaping from Fidel Castro's new regime. Soon Prohias went to work for Mad magazine, where he became a regular favorite of many readers. Art Spiegelman has described the "Spy vs. Spy" feature in The New York Times Magazine as "the comic strip equivalent of the yin-and-yang symbol, good and evil, inter-dependent and inter-changeable -- forever chasing each other's tails." The White Spy plays mind-games on his Black counterpart, using the split-personality riff inspired by The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Each page measures approximately 7.25" x 12.25" overall, with an image area of 6.5" x 11", and the art is in Excellent condition.
