Zack Mosley Smilin' Jack Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 16 (News Syndicate Co, 1948/1958). It's a Smilin' Jack attack! A total of 16 great strips, 15 of them from the same story arc. The oldest strip is dated 3-5-48 and features Jato and her groovy cat-eye glasses. The rest all hail from 1958, dated: 2-1, 2-8, 3-1, 3-8, 3-15, 3-22, 3-29, 4-12, 4-19, 4-26, 5-3, 5-10, 5-17, 5-31, and 6-7. This story arc starts on a Pacific island with a hidden Japanese scientist, and ends with the Soviets about to launch the "Witch Beam" satellite! These are created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19.75" x 6". The Zipatone has discolored, and there are some minor stains on some. There is also a musty odor about them. In Good to Very Good condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
