    Description

    Zack Mosley Smilin' Jack Daily Comic Strip Original Art Dated 8-26-41(News Syndicate Co. Inc., 1941). Another episode showcasing Mosley's expressionistic artwork, reminiscent of Chester Gould's work on a contemporary feature, "Dick Tracy." Dated 8-26-1941. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 25" x 17". The individual panels are mounted by tape and rubber cement to a backing board, as was common at the time and have art extensions drawn onto the support board. There is toning, adhesive residue, marginal editorial notes, small spots of foxing, small chips along the edges, and pinholes. In Very Good condition.
