    Description

William Donahey The Teenie Weenies: "Robbery" Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-8-56 (News Syndicate Co., 1956). Donahey created The Teenie Weenies in 1912, inspired by Palmer Cox's The Brownies. The creator would continue the strip for nearly 60 years. Each installment is distinguished by one large illustration (part-realistic, part-cartoon), with a storybook-style narrative text. A recurring feature is an inset of a featured character, designed like a paper doll. This gem consists of ink over graphite with an image area of 13.25" x 8.35". Faint toning, with marginal notations. Excellent condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
