Wesley Morse Bazooka Joe #X1-15 Comic Strip Illustration Original Art, (Topps, c. 1950s). Bazooka Joe was a comic strip of a different sort, as it was included on the wrappers of Bazooka Joe bubble gum! The adventures of Joe and his pals entertained fans from approximately 1954 until 2001. Wesley Morse was the artist until the early 1960s. This strip was produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.5" x 3.5". Each panel is an original art paste-up. There are whiteout art corrections/clean-up in several places, and tape on the title panel and Panel 2. The bottom left corner is trimmed. Panels 2 and 3 both have cut out areas in the Bristol board. There is some ink on the text in the Bonus area. In Good condition. Comes with a COA from the Topps Vault.Auction Info
