Description
Walter Berndt Smitty Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-29-64 (Chicago Tribune, 1964). Herby brings his young friend Dolly a candy-filled Easter basket and is so delighted by the kiss she gives him in return that he decides to hand over the rest of the candy he had secretly pocketed! Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21.5" x 9.75". Each individual panel was drawn on separate pieces of Bristol board, cut out, and adhered to a single backing board. Lightly toned, with adhesive staining, blue production marks, additional staining, pinholes, creasing, and edge/handling wear. In Very Good condition.Auction Info
