Wally Wood Studio Shattuck Comic Strip W20 and W20B (Overseas Weekly, undated). Best known for his science-fiction work for EC Comics, Wally Wood spent the latter part of his life working on comics of a more adult nature, including Cannon, Sally Forth, and Shattuck. Shattuck was a "sexy western" comic strip, packaged by Wood for the military newspaper, the Overseas Weekly in the early 1970's. While Wood probably provided layouts for most of the strips, he also had contributions from such artists as Jack Abel, Dave Cockrum, and Howard Chaykin. These two ink over blue pencil on Bristol board pieces, numbered "W20 and W20B," each have image areas of 17" x 10.25" and are in Excellent condition, with some slight glue staining around the title stat, which is beginning to loosen around the edges.
