Description

Vaughn Shoemaker Wow! How Junior Has Grown!! Editorial Comics Panel Original Art (Chicago American, 1965). Double-Pulitzer Medalist Shoemaker (1938 and 1947) acknowledges the overpriced 1960s with a comparison between federal budgets of 1965 and the Coolidge Administration's 1920s. Shoemaker's longtime symbolic characters, Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Public (the small figures), are appropriately appalled. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12" x 16".
