Description

Vaughn Bodé Cavalier Magazine Cheech Wizard Comic Strip Original Art (Cavalier, 1972). Looks like "the Hat" has found a way out of his legal problems in this slice of silliness from the late Vaughn Bodé (1941-1975). Cheech Wizard was Vaughn's most popular character, one that has inspired several generations of street artists, and continues to this day in graffiti found all over the world. This piece, done in ink and gray wash on Bristol board, with an image size of 14" x 9.5", is sure to inspire some spirited bidding. The back of the art board notes this as "Cheech Wizard #5." The condition is Excellent. Signed, front and back. From the Eric Sack Collection.
