    Description

    Tony Weare Matt Mariott Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (The London Evening News, 1955/57). In the mid-1950s, Tony Weare was asked by the Associated Newspaper agency to start a Western themed comic strip. This resulted in Matt Mariott, which ran in the London Evening News until 1977. Here we have two of the dailies, one from 1955, and the other from 1957. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 16.5" x 4.75". They are lightly tanned, otherwise in Excellent condition.
