Description

Sy Barry The Phantom Consecutive Daily Comic Strips Original Art Group of 6 (King Features Syndicate, 1982). The Phantom comes upon a shaken Rex at his breaking point in the jungle, and Rex finally voices the question that's been haunting him: "Who am I?" A pivotal early beat from the fan-favorite "Tale of Rex" storyline. Includes dailies dated 1-25 through 1-30 of 1982, created in ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 13" x 4". There is stat paste-up over Panel 1 of the 1-25 strip. The boards exhibit slight toning, discolored screentone, adhesive residue staining, marginal pulled-tape abrasions, whiteout corrections, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, and light handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
