Sy Barry The Phantom Consecutive Daily Comic Strips Original Art Group of 5 (King Features Syndicate, 1982). The Phantom recounts to Rex how he was discovered as an infant beside an elderly couple who had fallen victim to the plague in these dailies from the fan-favorite arc "Tale of Rex". Includes consecutive dailies dated 2-19 through 2-24 of 1982 (excluding Sunday 2-21). Ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 13" x 4". Light toning, with areas of discoloration, staining, discolored screentone, whiteout corrections, text correction paste-ups, blue pencil editorial notes/marks, marginal abrasions, adhesive residue staining, stat paste-ups over Panel 2 of 2-20 strip and Panel 1 of 2-22 strip, and minor handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
