Description

Sy Barry The Phantom Consecutive Daily Comic Strips Original Art Group of 3 (King Features Syndicate, 1982). The Ghost Who Walks returns with a chastened, grateful Rex, who immediately earns a little sibling ribbing for his brief disappearing act. But once dinner's done, the teasing gives way to something weightier as the Phantom and Rex await Diana, prepared at last to begin the "Tale of Rex" and reveal the truths behind his origins. This trio of dailies are dated 2-8 through 2-10 of 1982. Ink and screentone over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 13" x 4". Light toning, with water staining on the right ends of all three strips, light staining in image areas, marginal pulled-tape abrasions, discolored screentone, cover-up tape in margins, and handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
