Description

Rube Goldberg Life's Little Jokes Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-6-25 (McNaught Syndicate, 1925). Goldberg razzes the obsessive-compulsive streak in a dedicated golfer: "Father's greatest brain work -- packing his golf togs." Brilliant panoramic composition, with more goofy detail than one can shake a nine-iron niblick at. Fine work from one of the defining inventors of comic-strip grammar. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, approximately 17" x 5". Unusually light toning for a piece of such advanced age, and in Excellent condition.
