Rube Goldberg - Daily Comic Strip Original Art (undated). "How To Keep Shop Windows Clean" was an idea of Professor Butts, freed from his mind by viewing an x-ray of his own head! It is also a prime example of one of Rube Goldberg's wacky inventions. These strips were so popular that the term "Rube Goldberg Device" entered the English language as an idiom. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with a matted image area of 17.5" x 6.25". Signed in the lower right, and Plexiglas-front framed to 26.75" x 20". Toned, with minor stains.
