Description

Rube Goldberg Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-4-51 (King Features Syndicate, 1951). The "Rube Goldberg device" remains a well-known term to this day. Here the task is "How to get hoggish summer boarder out of bathroom" and the device involves the likes of John Foster Dulles and Mae West! If you don't get the reference to "the Tongay children," they were early-1950s sensations who could literally swim for miles when they were still toddlers. This piece has an image area of 17" x 9.25". Matted and framed. The board appears to be a bit rippled. Very good condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
