Description

Rube Goldberg Boob McNutt and Bill Sunday Comic Strip Original Art 1-29-33 (Star Company, 1933). This Sunday includes the "Bill" topper companion strip, and also a "Bob McNutt's Art" single panel gag featuring the laughing Zuzus. Goldberg is most well-known for his "contraptions" comic illustrations, which coined the term "Rube Goldberg Contraption" to describe something overly complicated. This Sunday was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 17" x 22.25". Signed in the last panel. Someone has written the year 1932 in the lower right, but the syndicate strip gives the correct year as 1933. In Very Good condition.
