Roy Fox Aggie Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-30-69 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1969). Hal Rasmusson had joined the teen-comics brigade in 1946 with Aggie Mack, one of the more inventive variations on the themes and formulas of Archie. His successor, Fox, took charge in 1962 -- gradually modernizing the feature with hippies, student radicals, and other signs of the changing times. The streamlined title, Aggie, dates from 1966. This vivid example features one of the more eccentric characters, Wacko. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 27" x 11.5". Clean and well-preserved, with faint toning and marginal wear. Very Good condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
