Description

Roger Brand (signing as Rojelio Del Fuago) Low Rider "Cholo" Gag Comic Panel Original Art Group (San Francisco Comic Book Company, 1980). An unusual group of 38 gag drawings by the late Underground Comix artist Roger Brand, all about a group of Mexican-American youths living in San Francisco's Mission District. Follow the adventures of Rosalie, Carlos, Paco, Mario, and the others, as they stand around outside Winchell's Donuts drinking Rainier beer and smoking Kool cigarettes -- and other stuff! The art is in ink over graphite on 9" x 12" paper or Bristol board (Roger used whatever was handy, including one piece made up of two boards taped together), with an average image area of 8.5" x 11". Condition ranges from Very Good to Excellent. As a bonus, the envelope Gary Arlington kept these in is included, with an address label for Robert Crumb's old Winters, CA mailing address. From the Gary Arlington Collection.
