Rick Hoberg and Dave Stevens Star Wars Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-10-80 (LA Times Syndicate, 1980). A fill-in art team for this one Sunday, Hoberg (pencils) and Stevens (inks) sure turned in an exciting and great looking episode! And of course, neither artist was a stranger to Star Wars, having both worked on the comic book. The Empire Strikes Back was released a mere five months previous to this episode, so interest in Boba Fett was still running pretty high. This Sunday features the mercenary, along with Princess Leia, Han Solo, and Chewbacca! There is even a great panel of the Millennium Falcon, making this a near-perfect Star Wars Sunday! Crafted in ink over graphite on panels of Bristol board affixed to a larger board, with a combined image area of 22.5" x 15". There is whiteout art correction, and touches of glue residue near the paste-up panels. The logo and credits are stat paste-ups. Matted out to 26.25" x 18.75", and overall in Very Good condition.Auction Info
