    Description

    Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-29-16 (Philadelphia Record, 1916). That rotten kid Smithy co-stars with Buster and Tige in this Sunday that teaches restraint... up to a point. Produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 20". The strip has pinholes in the margins, and a crease through the second tier panels. The main strip is in Very Good condition. Also included is the topper strip produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 3.75". The topper has pinholes, and is numbered "Buster 182" in the top margin and is in Excellent condition. They are UV glass front framed together to 24" x 31". As a bonus, there is a tearsheet of the printed Sunday, as it ran in the Philadelphia Record. It is also UV glass front frame out to 20"x 26.5". From the Outcault Family Collection.
