    Richard F. Outcault Buster Brown Sunday Comic Strip Original Art (American-Journal Examiner, 1903-14). Buster Brown, Tige the talking dog, and Mary Jane all go to the Zoo. What could go wrong? Well, it is Buster Brown, so... plenty! Created in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 18.75" x 24". As was the practice of the time, the first appearance of any character or setting was watercolored as a printer's guide for the rest of the strip. The board has worn and chipped edges and corners. In Good condition.
