Description

Ralph Bakshi "Junktown" Unpublished Comic Strip Original Art (1969). A rare surviving glimpse into Bakshi's earliest worldbuilding, captured years before his breakthrough in animation. Initially drafted in 1969 this Junktown comic strip page reveals a lively junkyard society as discarded machines spring to life in sharp, comedic beats. Its kinetic energy foreshadows concepts later explored in Christmas in Tattertown. Long unpublished it finally appeared on Page 40 of Unfiltered: The Complete Ralph Bakshi in 2008. Rendered in ink over graphite on paper adhered to a support board with an image area of 14.5" x 19". Signed and dated by Bakshi in Panel 1. Light toning, corner bumps, and handling/edge wear. In Very Good condition.
