Description

Paul Reinman Tarzan Daily Comic Strip #3051 Original Art (United Feature Syndicate, 1949). Reinman is chiefly remembered today as an occasional inker for Jack Kirby's Fantastic Four books of the early 1960s and, by extension, as a backup soloist on the weirder pre-Marvel fantasy anthologies of the midcentury. Reinman was, more importantly, a comic-book pioneer and a classically trained painter, to boot. His painterly skills come through in pure-black ink on this cinematically composed Tarzan, including a deep-perspective Panel 3. Image area, 20.5" x 5.5". Glue-stained lettering aside, the art is in Very Good condition.
