    Description

Neal Adams Ben Casey Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-13-66 (NEA, Inc., 1966). For all its dynamic appeal, Adams' run on Ben Casey was destined to last only about as long as the TV soap-opera serial that had inspired the comic strip. As Bing Crosby Productions pulled the plug on the teleseries in 1966, so did the comics syndicate allow Ben Casey to fade away by midyear. This impeccably well-drawn episode is typical of Adams' work in newspaper comics, and a foreshadowing of his revolutionary approach to the superhero line at DC Comics. Ink and Zipatone shading over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 14.5" x 4.5". Light toning. Very Good condition.
