    Milton Caniff Terry and the Pirates Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-26-45 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1945). A showcase sequence for three of Caniff's most vividly realized heroic characters - April Kane and pilots Terry Lee and Hotshot Charlie. Stranded in a wilderness area, the castaways explore a cave that might provide shelter. Vivid high-contrast panel compositions, enlivened by bright, bantering dialogue. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 21.75" x 6.5". Excellent condition, with light-to-moderate toning.
