Milt Gross - Dave's Delicatessen Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 11-15-31 (King Features Syndicate, 1931). Milt Gross may have been the finest action gag cartoonist to put pen to the funnies. His creation of 1931, Dave's Delicatessen, was a wonderful example of his artistic and humorous achievements. In his effort to squelch a rumor, daft Dave makes the matter much worse, in this side-splitting Sunday. Gross' creations were always daffy and wildly creative, and it was very rare to see a character standing still in one of them. The image area measures 25.5" x 12". Some overall aging is apparent, otherwise the work is in Excellent condition.Auction Info
