    Description

Martin Branner Winnie Winkle the Breadwinner Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-9-30 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1930). Winnie Winkle proposes to dismiss kid brother Perry (a pain in the tuchus) before company comes. The brat resists. Their cranially deformed father tries to help. A fine early example from the long-running feature. The art is in ink over graphite on two pieces of Bristol board; the combined image area measures approximately 19" x 26". A note in pencil along the upper left border reads, "Please hold for 20th Century - Branner." Very Good overall condition.
