    Description

Martin Branner Winnie Winkle Sunday Original Art Group (Chicago Tribune, 1937-38). Each of these two wonderful Winnie Winkle Sundays, dated 9-12-37 and 1-9-38, includes a Looie companion strip. The art was created by rendering each panel on a separate sheet and then pasting them to a common backing board, with some embellishments on the sides. Each strip has an image area of 31.5" x 21.5". There is paper aging, and soiling, (the '37 strip has some edge wear along the left, affecting the image area at the lower left); otherwise the art averages Good condition.
