Martin Branner Winnie Winkle Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-19-57 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1957). Branner gets his Scrooge on with a character known as Cyrus Crumm -- a stingy old geezark who ... please, no spoilers. Anyhow, the date, here, is close enough to Christmas to suggest that Crumm is due for a Dickens of a time before the story-arc can wrap. The Winkle household appears in Panel 1, with particular attention to Pa Winkle, that textbook case of Cranial Malformation Syndrome. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 19.75" x 6.5". Moderate age-toning. Very Good condition.
