Description
Mark Beyer Amy + Jordan Comic Strip Original Art (1992). Rare original from Modern Primitive cartoonist Mark Beyer, whose 1980s breakthrough via RAW magazine led to appearances in the New York Press, among other alternatives to the mainstream press. This exercise in absurdist surrealism is, as usual, a showcase for Beyer's intricate sense of design. Surprisingly small in dimensions, the piece contains enough fine detail for a space twice the size. Beyer's Amy + Jordan characters inspired a feature film, The Doom Generation (1995), starring Rose McGowan and James Duval. I and white-paint retouching on Bristol board, measuring 9.75" x 3".
