Description

Larry Todd - Vaughn Bodé Tribute Comic Strip Original Art (1975). Underground Comix legend Vaughn Bodé passed away on July 18, 1975. His sudden, unexpected death sent shock waves through the Underground community. Bodé's friend and occasional collaborator Larry Todd, of Dr. Atomic fame, created this spot-on recreation of a Bodé's Cartoon Concert strip starring Cheech Wizard and Vaughn himself, as a loving tribute; it's dated October 1-2, 1975 on the backside. The grey tone art is in mixed media on illustration board, with an image area of 10.5" x 15", matted to an overall size of 16" x 20". Excellent condition. Signed by Todd in the last panel, and again on the back. From the Eric Sack Collection.
