Johnny Ryan (as Johnny R) Blecky Yuckarella Comic Strip Original Art (JohnnyR-dot-com, 2005). A comparatively mild example of Ryan's signature gross-out cartooning, at once cute and transgressive. As The Comics Journal comments: "The style of art in his humor comics ... both undercuts and ramps up the disturbance factor." The approach at once advances and pays homage to the Underground and Punk Comix movements of the 1960s-1980s. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 14.5" x 5". Excellent condition.
