    Description

John Prentice Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-15-56 (King Features Syndicate, 1956). Prentice took over the strip after creator Alex Raymond's untimely death in August of 1956. As Raymond was working ahead of publishing dates, his strips ran for a short period after his death. John Prentice's first strip was published on 9-30-56, just about a month and a half before this one. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 20" x 5.75". Amazing line work on this one! Lightly toned, with handing wear in the margins and very slight staining on the extreme left and right edges. In Very Good condition. From the Estate of Bob Lubbers.
