Description

John M. Burns The Seekers Daily Comic Strip #N167 Original Art (c. 1966-1971). John Burns' first major comic strip was The Seekers, and the themes of the strip somewhat resemble Modesty Blaise, which he was to draw later in his career. The main characters, Susanne Dove and Jacob Benedick, are two agents employed by Una Frost, director of Seekers, an agency specializing in tracking down missing persons. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 15" x 4.25". With mild toning, edge and handling wear, spots of whiteout, and ink smudging along the top border. Signed by Burns at the lower right margin, and in Very Good condition.
