Description

John M. Burns The Seekers Daily Comic Strip #N157 Original Art (c. mid-1960s). John Burns' first major comic strip was The Seekers, and the themes of the strip somewhat resemble Modesty Blaise, which he was to draw later in his career. The main characters, Susanne Dove and Jacob Benedick, are two agents employed by Una Frost, director of Seekers, an agency specializing in tracking down missing persons. Created in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 15" x 4.25". All text is paste-up. With mild toning, pinholes in the borders, edge and handling wear, and spots of whiteout. Signed by Burns in the lower margin, and in Very Good condition.
