John Cullen Murphy - Big Ben Bolt Daily Comic Strip Original Art, Group of 6 (King Features Syndicate, 1957). Big Ben Bolt was a boxer and a world-traveling troubleshooter. John Cullen Murphy worked in the realistic illustration style pioneered by Alex Raymond with his Rip Kirby strip, and these strips are superb. John Cullen Murphy's drawing is sensational in this lot of six dailies. These strips are dated 9-26, 10-17, 10-22, 11-25, 11-26, and 12-2-57. Each strip has an approximate image area of 18" x 5.25". There is some yellowing of the Zipatone film used on each strip; otherwise, the art is in Very Good condition.
