    Description

Jim Holdaway Modesty Blaise Daily Comic Strip #699 Original Art (London Times-Mirror, 1965). A brilliantly composed gun-battle scene from the celebrated Modesty serial called "Uncle Happy." Holdaway's dynamic art is perfectly in synch with co-creator Peter O'Donnell's spare narrative text. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 19.5" x 5.5". As usual with Holdaway's art, the illustrated surface has been peeled from its art-board backing. Very Good condition. From the Ethan Roberts Estate Collection.
