Description

Jim Holdaway Modesty Blaise Daily Comic Strip #1989 Original Art (London Times Mirror, 1969). The "Take-Over" was the 17th Modesty Blaise story, running from 8-18-69 to 1-10-70 (strips #1920-2043). It was the last Modesty Blaise story completed by Jim Holdaway. He died about halfway through the following story, "The Warlords of Phoenix," which was completed by Enrique Romero. Modesty has been bound and roughed up in this corking episode. As is common with Modesty Blaise strips drawn by Holdaway, the art paper surface has been "skimmed" from its board backing. The image area measures 19" x 5.5", and aside from some overall paper aging, the art is in Very Good condition.
