Jim Davis Garfield Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-31-83 (United Feature Syndicate, 1983). Hopefully, Jon will figure out why Garfield is laughing at his expense over his choice of date night outfit before he gets caught with his pants down-or in this case, completely absent! This classic Garfield Sunday hails from the strip's early years, before the famous fat cat became bipedal. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 12.5", the piece features some residue stains from the stat logo that have migrated into the image area, along with unerased gridlines, production tape in the margins, and whiteout corrections.
