Jim Davis Garfield Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-20-79 (United Feature Syndicate, 1979). Lyman was first introduced in 1976 in the Garfield precursor strip, Jon, and returned for his first appearance in Garfield in August of 1978, but eventually was removed. This is also an early first year Odie appearance, too. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.75" x 8.25". Light overall toning, and discolored production tape in the margins.
