Classically bizarre domestic humor from Van Amerongen's Ballard Street, a surreal follow-up to his brilliant The Neighborhood (1980-1990). Influenced by the revealing facial expressions and awkward postures of silent-screen slapstick comedy, Van Amerongen is a uniquely gifted advancer of the dreamlike gag-panel approaches of Bernard Kliban and Gary Larson.
